Phil Hellmuth, the 17-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, is putting down roots in Las Vegas in more ways than one. The Poker Hall of Famer recently purchased a condo formerly owned by Elaine Wynn, co-founder of Mirage Resorts and Wynn Resorts alongside her ex-husband Steve Wynn, for $2.8 million.
The 61-year-old officially relocated to Sin City in December and now has a prime spot for both living and playing poker.
A New Vegas Home
Hellmuth’s new condo is a spacious four-bedroom, five-bathroom unit with over 4,000 square feet in the Park Towers high-rise, located just a few blocks east of the Strip near Flamingo Road. The property offers sweeping views of the Strip and quick access to major poker hubs, including the Horseshoe for the WSOP and Aria, home of the PokerGO Studio.
The condo had been on the market for 173 days, and Hellmuth secured it at roughly 5% below the asking price. Real estate agent and fellow poker pro Karina Jett, who has over $500,000 in tournament winnings, facilitated the deal.
“Working with Phil Hellmuth is always a pleasure,” Jett said. “This is my second transaction with him, and his generosity, outgoing personality, and genuine kindness make him a dream client.”
Hellmuth’s Vegas Moves
The condo purchase follows Hellmuth’s recent announcement that he plans to dedicate $1.5 million of his own money for cash games. The poker legend has also been making headlines for his candid opinions on the WSOP, declaring that bracelets have lost some prestige due to the sheer number of events now awarding them.
In September, he revealed that his son Nick Hellmuth is pursuing a poker career, joining Phil as a substitute player for a filming of Hellmuth’s Home Game. Around the same time, Hellmuth offered to wager $500,000 on his cash game results and sparked headlines with a heated moment alongside Mike Matusow on the same show.
With a luxurious new condo in Las Vegas and a packed schedule of poker and cash games, it’s clear that Hellmuth is fully embracing life in Sin City.
