The NLH Venom shattered previous records with an $8 million guarantee that was left in the dust, while the PLO version also cruised past its $2 million promise—further cementing the Mystery Bounty Venom as one of online poker’s marquee events.
NLH Mystery Bounty Venom Smashes Records
The $2,650 buy-in NLH Mystery Bounty Venom attracted a massive 3,673 entries, inflating the prize pool to $9,182,500. In true Mystery Bounty fashion, exactly half of that—$4,591,250—was set aside for bounties, making this the largest Mystery Bounty Venom ever run.
After a three-way deal at the final table, ‘MatasSembolas’ was crowned the official champion, earning $630,328 in prize money. With an additional $97,953 collected in bounties, the win totaled $728,281. It was later confirmed that the account belonged to Portuguese high-stakes pro Pedro Neves.
However, the biggest payday of the tournament went to the runner-up.
UK grinder Archie ‘BALDOUS’ Seaton finished second but pulled the tournament’s top $500,000 mystery bounty, along with another $100,000 bounty. When the dust settled, Seaton walked away with $510,378 in prize money and an eye-popping $729,931 in bounties—for a tournament-leading $1,240,310 total haul.
Former Venom champion Ivan ‘chickenpastry’ Limeira made another deep run, finishing sixth and narrowly missing a repeat of his August 2024 title.

User ‘StickyMinaj’ emerged victorious, banking $209,860 in prize money and $104,062 in bounties for a combined $313,922 payout.
The biggest bounty score, however, belonged to ‘phong7’, who snagged $215,000 in mystery bounties despite finishing 16th—another reminder of the chaos and upside that define the format.
