Darren Rabinowitz scored big on the Las Vegas Strip this week, claiming his fifth WSOP Circuit gold ring at the 2026 Planet Hollywood $1,700 main event while simultaneously watching his unmanned stack blind out at the Wynn Signature Series.
Skipping Wynn Pays Off
Rabinowitz had to forgo day 2 of the $400,000 guaranteed $1,100 buy-in event at Wynn Las Vegas to focus on the WSOPC main event at Planet Hollywood. That strategic move earned him the top prize of $175,430, while his unattended stack at Wynn outlasted 24 players but ultimately finished 20th, netting him $3,394.
The win represents the fourth-largest score of his career. With this victory, the bracelet winner now has nearly $4.7 million in lifetime earnings across more than 500 cashes.
Social Media Updates Needed
Since he wasn’t at the Wynn tables, Rabinowitz had to rely on social media to track his progress. Even without his presence, his stack nearly reached the final two tables, underscoring his consistent tournament performance.
Planet Hollywood Main Event Recap
The $1,700 WSOPC main event drew 616 entrants, pushing the $500,000 guarantee to a $933,240 prize pool. Among the notable players making deep runs were WPT champion Scott Eskenazi (20th), recent WSOP Paradise turbo winner Imari Love (13th), NAPT Las Vegas winner Sami Bechahed (12th), EPT Barcelona champion Stephen Song (10th), and high-stakes regular Victoria Livschitz (8th).
Heads-Up Heroics
Rabinowitz faced David DiBernardi in heads-up play. At one point, he revealed a royal flush in clubs, swinging momentum in his favor after falling behind. The final hand saw Rabinowitz’s top pair of sevens hold against DiBernardi’s second pair of fours, sealing his victory. DiBernardi earned $116,917, marking a career-best score.
This win also catapulted Rabinowitz into the top 10 of the early 2026 Card Player Player of the Year standings presented by CoinPoker.
